Featuring Artwork created by OUTSTANDING art students in the greater Jasper/Newton county region. SELECTED, PREPARED, AND PRESENTED BY THEIR ART TEACHERS...
One of Prairie Arts Council's oldest and most important programs, the annual regional school art shows were created to promote and support visual art in the schools of our region. Presented in collaboration with our area art teachers, thousands of works of student art have been showcased since 1993.
With the suspension of Saint Joseph's College, our host and site of the exhibits since 1999, the new series of four shows is moving back to the Carnegie Center. While our Lilian Fendig Gallery space is smaller, each art teacher will have his/her own panel on which to display selected art by their most outstanding art students.
The shows may be viewed during special gallery hours. Each show will have a Closing Reception and Award Ceremony.
