Calling all Photographers!
Prairie Arts Council invites individuals of all ages to exhibit up to three photographs for an exhibition celebrating the medium of photography. It is our privilege to welcome professional photographer, Alan McConnell, who will judge this year’s show and celebrate the most outstanding submissions with monetary awards.
Eligibility:
Individuals of any age residing in Jasper and Newton counties.
Requirements:
Artists may submit up to three entries, of any dimensions.
All work must be ready for hanging with a secure hanging system.
See “Preparing Your Work for Exhibition” below for guidelines.
PAC reserves the right to omit work if submissions exceed gallery space or deems imagery inappropriate for viewers of all ages.
Entry Fee:
The entry fee for PAC members is free; $10 for non-members. New members welcome!
Awards: $400 in cash Awards will be selected by our juror:
Best of Show, $100 and complementary PAC Membership for 2022
•Jurors Choice Awards, three awards at $50 each
Awards of Merit, 6 awards at $25 each
Honorable Mention (juror’s discretion)
Juror:
Alan McConnell is a large format photographer. He is one of three owners of the Opera House Gallery of Contemporary Art in Delphi, Indiana. His work has received multiple awards and has pieces in permanent museum collections. Entry Due Date:
Noon – 6:00 PM (CST), or Thursday November 18, Noon to 4:00 PM. You may schedule an alternate time to deliver your entry by emailing pacrensselaer@gmail.com by Nov. 14.
