Why are Volunteers Important?
Volunteers are integral to Prairie Arts Council. All members of our Board of Directors and our committees are Volunteers. All programs, exhibits and events are facilitated by volunteers.
PAC would not exist without volunteers!
How do you Become a Volunteer?
Any community member can be a volunteer. We will match you with the programs that interest you. To become a volunteer, simply email us with your interests and contact information and we will be in touch! pacrensselaer@gmail.com
Are there any paid jobs?
PAC’s paid positions are limited to our part time Office staff or program professionals performing a service such as musicians or skilled instructors.
Event Volunteers:
Programs like, Rock the Arts!, take months of planning to coordinate with dozens of volunteers. We need volunteers to plan logistics, set-up equipment, sell tickets, provide security, teach workshops and support our craft booths!
Gallery Volunteers:
Gallery Shows and events require staff volunteers to serve as gallery sitters, greeters, prepare and serve refreshments, guides, and provide clean up. Preparation before an exhibition includes communicating with participants, mounting and hanging artwork, and staging the art / gallery layout.
