If you have an opportunity for community artists, like a contest or club drive, please let us know so we can add it to the calendar.
If any accessibility requirements need to be addressed, please reach out to the Prairie Arts Council one week before the event so accommodations can be met, including accommodations for the blind, deaf, and mobility impaired. Volunteers Needed: ARTCAMP
This year’s ARTCAMP will run July 15-19. Assistants and other Volunteers are always wanted! Sign-up to be a volunteer to help with set-up and sign-in. Email us at: Volunteers@PrairieArtsCouncil.org.
ArtCamp Sign Up
Registration is now open for summer Artcamp. We’re offering over 40 workshops in Rensselaer and Wheatfield during the week of July 18th.
You can sign up online or visit our office in the Carnegie Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays and fill out a paper form. Registration closes June 30th.
Kids Night at the Rensselaer Farmers Market
Every year, the Rensselaer Farmer’s Market hosts a Kids Night on a Tuesday evening. This year the Prairie Arts Council will be providing some craft activities for children and adults. Including coloring pages and Zentangle papers.

ArtCamp! 2.0 - Paint & Poetry
Paint and play with words in this fun workshop for creative young writers. Explore different forms of poetry and showcase your work with colorful, painted backgrounds. Students will create finished pieces that are both beautiful to the eye and pleasing to the ear with teacher and author Shannon Anderson @ the First Presbyterian Church.

Join us for an afternoon of activities, TieDye, Painting, and Coloring @ Filson Park (223 W Kellner Blvd).

Working with acrylic paints on stretched canvas, each student will create an original painting inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s painting, “Starry Night” with teacher Lindsey Preston @ the First Presbyterian Church.
